LONDON – The European Parliament has issued a fresh document on Kashmirthat contains history of Kashmir dispute, its damaging impact ondevelopment in South Asia, UN resolutions, struggle of Kashmiri peopleagainst the Indian rule and human rights violations by Indian troops inoccupied Kashmir.

The document titled ‘Kashmir: 70 years of disputes’ was published byEuropean Parliamentary Research Service.

The document, authored by Enrico D’Ambrogio, member EPRS, provides anoverview of the current situation in Kashmir highlighting themilitarization of Indian occupied Kashmir and outlining the issues thathave been vividly described in the recent report of the UN HighCommissioner on Human Rights.

The European Parliament’s document says that in June this year the UN inits first-ever human rights report on Kashmir called for establishing acommission of inquiry into the human rights violations in Kashmir.
