ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has disqualified for life Rai Hassan Nawaz to contest election.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed gave the decision on Thursday.

Rai Hassan Nawaz was a candidate of PTI from NA-149. The court had already given a judgment against Rai Hassan Nawaz under Article 62(1)f.

Meanwhile, the court rejected application for ineligibility against independent candidate Sheikh Waqas Akram from NA-115 Jhang.
