SAHIWAL – An FIR has been registered against Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Mian Naveed Ali.
He was booked by Pakpattan Saddar police for threatening and trespassing ona piece of land in Bahrampur village on July 12, reportedlinkalocal media outlet.
There was an ownership dispute on a piece of land between Rana Ahmed andSharafat Dogar.
An FIR [First Information Report] was registered against Naveed and Ahmedunder sections 452, 506/B, 337/H2, 148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code(PPC) on the complaint of Dogar.
Ahmed was arrested from his residence while his son could not be arrestedas he was in Lahore for oath-taking ceremony. The FIR said that Dogar andothers were working on the agricultural land when the PML-N MPA, hisfather, union council Chairman Bashir Ahmed and others forcefully enteredthe land.
While addressing the media, District Police Officer Rizwan Gondal said, “noone would be allowed to take law into their hands.”
