ISLAMABAD – World leaders and diplomats extended warm wishes to Pakistanover the 72nd independence day.
In Tehran, the Iranian government sponsored billboards featuring landmarksfrom all provinces of the country as Supreme Leader Ayatollah Syed AliKhamenei greeted Pakistanis on the occasion.

The Indian high commission in Islamabad took to Twitter to remind people ofthe two countries of the “common quest for a democratic, peaceful andprosperous region.”
In a video message shared on Twitter, British High Commissioner Thomas Drewwished those watching Urdu and reiterated the United Kingdom’s support forthe country. “I have been visiting Pakistan for the last 12 years and(have) lived here for five. I have developed a strong bond with thecountry. But today I will speak about the future.
The United States embassy in Islamabad also extended greetings.
German Ambassador Martin Kobler extended independence day greetings in anUrdu video message too.
