KARACHI – Maritime patrol vessel PMSS ZHOB has been formally commissionedto Pakistan Navy.

A ceremony to this effect was held at Karachi Shipyard and EngineeringWorks on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief of Staff (Personnel) Vice Admiral AbdulAleem said manufacturing of the ship jointly by Pakistan and China is yetanother milestone in evergreen friendship between the two countries.

He said the vessel will not only enhance operational capability of PakistanMaritime Security Agency but will also go a long way in protecting nationaljurisdiction and rich natural resources of Pakistan’s territorial waters.

Vice Admiral said it will play a vital role towards achieving self-reliancein defence production.
