ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar has said thenational economy is in a shambles and the PTI government might utilize theoption of International Monitory Fund loans to help revive it.
Talking to a private news channel, he said quick decisions would have to betaken to stabilize the national economy.
Asad Umar said tax rate would not be enhanced, however, some newcommodities would be brought under the tax net.
He said all agreements signed by the previous governments with foreigncountries, including the deal for import of liquefied natural gas would bepresented before the parliament.
He said the PTI government would issue special investment bonds foroverseas Pakistanis.
Replying to a question, he said measures will be taken for improving theagriculture sector.
Asad Umar said the stolen national wealth stashed anywhere in the worldwould be brought back to the country.
PTI leader said Investigations would be carried out about 200 billiondollars owned by Pakistanis in Swiss banks.
