LAHORE – A 21-year-old Czech woman who was apprehended at Lahore airportfor allegedly smuggling nine kilograms of heroin, appeared before thesessions court on Friday.
Tereza Hluskova appeared before Additional Session judge Shahid BashirChoudhary in a case related to drugs smuggling bid that was foiled byPakistani officials at Allama Iqbal Airport, Lahore in January.
Earlier the court recorded the statements of customs officials and othersinvolved in helping the accused. The court adjourned the hearing tillAugust 3.
Durin the hearing, the prosecution told the court that accused Tereza alongwith her partner Shoaib Hafeez rented a house frome Ishaq where the lawyerof foreign model told the court that there was no record of the rentedhouse.
Czech model was staying in Pakistan for three months on a visit visa, whichwas issued to her on Nov 15.
The customs officials refused to hand over the alleged smuggler toAnti-Narcotics Force and shifted her to the customs house for interrogation.
Reports say the woman was arrested by customs after she managed to passthrough the two checking counters of the ANF.
The model, however, says she did not know how the drugs found their wayinto her bag as she visited Pakistan just for professional engagements.
