ISLAMABAD – Panama JIT head Wajid Zia lands in hot waters as the PakistanMuslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif on Saturday moved IslamabadHigh Court (IHC) against him.
He has alleged Wajid Zia of alteration in prosecution statement inAl-Azizia reference case.
The plea accused Wajid Zia of changing his statement duringcross-examination on Aug 30. Nawaz Sharif—in the plea—has requested courtto exckude Wajid Zia’s statements recorded on Aug 30.
The plea further requests court to allow Nawaz Sharif’s legal team tocross-examine Wajid Zia again. The judge of the accountability court hasalso been made plaintiff in the case.
Earlier, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor apprised the courtreport was submitted by the defence lawyer. He further added NawazSharif—the ousted premier—received 88pc profit HME.
