Fatima Surayya Bajia: Google doodle honors legendry Pakistani writer

*LONDON – Pakistan’s legendary writer Fatima Surayya Bajia has beenhonoured by the Google.*

Google doodle was dedicated to the legendary playwright who made Pakistanproud around the world.

Born in Indian city of Hyderabad on September 1, 1930. Bajia, along withher family, arrived in Pakistan after the partition of the sub-continent.

She did not have a formal degree but had acquired extensive knowledge ofArabic, Persian, English and Urdu literature and history at home throughprivate tuitions.

When her grandfather and father died in Karachi, she took up theresponsibility of looking after her younger siblings.

The lady made all her siblings receive a good education almost all of themsuccessfully carved out their own identity in separate fields of art andculture.

Her brother Anwar Maqsood became a multi-talented artist writing plays forTV and theatre, her sister Zehra Nigah became a renowned poetess whileZubaida Tariq turned into a cooking expert.
