Pakistan to be connected with the fastest Internet speed

LAHORE – PEACE Cable International Network to provide Pakistan with thefastest ever Internet speed.

PEACE Network has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and landingparty agreement with Pakistan carrier Cybernet and Djibouti Telecom duringthe 4th Asia-Pacific Submarine Networks Forum.

“We are excited about working on the PEACE project and the numerousbenefits that the PEACE Cable will bring to Pakistan and its , digitaleconomy,” said Cybernet CEO Danish A. Lakhani.

“In addition to providing much needed redundancy to Pakistan’s internetinfrastructure and reducing latency to Western destinations, this, theultra-high capacity cable will usher in a new era of affordable Gigabitservices in the country.”

The Cybernet CEO further said that “as a carrier-neutral cable system, theproject will enable other telecom carriers, ISPs, CDN and content providersto extend their benefits across the spectrum of Pakistani society.”

“After nearly two months of consultation, the cooperation and negotiationbetween PEACE and landing partners has been completed,” PEACE Cable chiefoperating officer Sun Xiaohua said.

“Thanks to all the partners for their support and I hope that PEACE willbring added economic value to the region in the near future,” he added.

Mohamed Assoweh Bouh, General Director of Djibouti Telecom said, “DjiboutiTelecom’s objective is to strengthen its regional Hub position, thecrossroad of three continents, Asia, Africa and Europe. PEACE and DAREshall collaborate to achieve the digital and economic transformation ofRepublic of Djibouti.”
