ISLAMABAD – Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif on has offered PM ImranKhan to visit Iran for Asian Cooperation Dialogue.
He invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to attend the Asian CooperationDialogue in October.
Zarif conveyed his government’s felicitations to the prime minister andexpressed the hope that the new leadership in Pakistan would work to fosterties with Iran.
Imran, on his part, thanked the Iranian foreign minister over Tehran’ssupport for Kashmir issue and said Pakistan shared historic, religious andcultural ties with Iran.
Earlier, Zarif met Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and congratulatedhim on Pakistan’s successful protest against the blasphemous caricaturecompetition in the Netherlands.
“Detailed discussions were also held on regional and global issuesincluding the situation in Afghanistan and US decision to unilaterallywithdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action,” said a statement.
