KARACHI – The price of gold has been increased by Rs 2000 per tola afterthe rumors of change in currency notes in Pakistan.

The new gold price would be Rs58300 per tola after an increase of Rs2000while 10g gold would be available in Rs49983 with an increase of Rs1715.

In the International market, the gold price would be $1,212.01 per ounce.

Yellow metal price remained in the hands of manipulators in India, Pakistanand other major gold buying countries, as they remained busy influencingcurrent prices and futures on speculations. The potential buyers in Indiaand Pakistan remained busy in hedging.

Buyers made deals according to their immediate needs. Local trading in goldremained dull on back of insignificant buying.
