LAHORE – District Police Officer (DPO) Pakpattan Dr Rizwan Gondal has beensacked over the issue of Khawar Maneka, former husband of Pakistan’s firstlady Bushra Imran.
Khawar Maneka had reportedly misbehaved with the police officer after beingstopped at the Police Check post.
He also abused police officers for stopping him at a police picket onAugust 23.
“Khawar was given a signal to stop at a picket but he didn’t do so.Following which, the police chased and intercepted his car.
After being stopped by the police officers, he abused them. He then calledDr Gondal and asked him to initiate an inquiry against theofficers. However, Gondal refused to initiate the inquiry, saying thatthe police officers were on the right.
DPO was made Officer on Special Duty after his refusal to tender apology toKhawer Maneka.
