BERLIN – German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler has become somethingof a heartthrob for millions of Pakistanis after he praised the newlyinstalled government for promoting Pakistan’s soft image around the globe.

Arriving in Berlin for the annual Ambassadors Conference, the ambassadorposted a picture of one of the buses under the branding campaign ofEmerging Pakistan with ‘Welcome to Pakistan’ ads placed over them.

Martin took Twitter to welcome ‘Naya Pakistan’ and expressed willingness towork with the new federal government of Pakistan under the captaincy of PMImran Khan.

Berlin’s iconic yellow buses carried brand Pakistan on the streets of thecity on Pakistan’s 72nd Independence Day which is running under the themeof ‘Emerging Pakistan’ campaign.

The campaign aims at promoting a soft image of Pakistan through images offamous monuments thereby persuading tourists to visit the country. Theimages of the Kailash women, Pakistan monument, K-2, Shangrilla Resortsetc., emphasize on the cultural diversity and the natural beauty thecountry possesses.

Martin has been very actively promoting the country ever since takingcharge as the office of German Ambassador to Pakistan and the whole countrylauds his efforts through the social media.
