LAHORE – Former CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif gets a blow from the Chief Justiceof Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar.

CJP took notice of appointment of former chief minister Shahbaz Sharif inboard of governors (BoG) of the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI).

The chief justice questioned that under what law the former chief minister,PKLI President Dr Saeed Akhtar and others were appointed as members of theinstitute’s board.

A three-judge bench, headed by the chief justice, was hearing a suo motucase against irregularities and misappropriation of funds at the PKLI.Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Ijazul Ahsan were the other members ofthe bench.
