LONDON – President Mamnoon Hussain statement over the corrupt elementsarrest has left analysts pondering that whether he has taunted at formerPrime Minister Nawaz Sharif over his arrest in corruption charges.
President Mamnoon on Friday said it is divine law that those corrupt cannotescape justice for long and eventually get arrested.
It is pertinent to mention here that Nawaz Sharif has been arrested oncorruption charges.
The president, who arrived in London today, said this while talking tojournalists at the airport.
He added that he has always been a believer in accountability but that itshould be true accountability.
“The incidents of corruption that have happened in Pakistan [show] that itis divine law that [a corrupt] person can escape law for only a few daysand eventually gets caught,” he said in response to a question.
The president added that he wanted to visit former premier Nawaz Sharif injail,
