ISLAMABAD – Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change, Malik Amin Aslamhas pledged to boost Pakistan’s climate vulnerability by increasing thecountry’s tree cover, water conservation and storage, and climate-resilientfood security measures.
Chairing a briefing at the Ministry in Islamabad today, he also vowed toexpand “billion tree programme” of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government to allprovinces and administrative regions.
Malik Amin Aslam said that growing air pollution is a major issue of thecountry and tackling it requires strong policy measures.
The advisor also highlighted that Prime Minister Imran Khan is highlycommitted to tackling environmental issues, air pollution, climate changeand increasing the country’s water conservation and storage, biodiversityloss and unlawful wildlife hunting.
