*ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court reserved its verdict on Monday on theappeal of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz andson-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar against the Avenfield referenceconviction.*
Justice Athar Minallah said they will prepare a proper order in the case.
An anti-corruption court sentenced the trio in one of the three referencesagainst them – Avenfield.
The former PM was awarded 10 years in jail and his daughter was awardedseven. Maryam’s husband, Captain (retd) Safdar was also handed a one-yearsentence in the case.
All three are currently in jail.
