KUALALAMPUR – In Malaysia, former Prime Minister Najib Razak was arrestedtoday in connection with a deposit of about forty two million ringgit,equal to 627.79 million US dollars into his personal account.
In a statement, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission said Najib will bepresented before court tomorrow.
Earlier last month, the former Malaysian Prime Minister had been accused ofmoney laundering, criminal breach of trust and abuse of power.
Najib has denied all these charges, saying the money in his account weredonations from Saudi Arabia, most of which he returned.
