Yet another extension in the parole period of Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz

*LAHORE – Yet another extension has been made in the parole period ofMaryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif by the Punjab government.*

*Government has extended the period of parole granted to former primeminister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt (retd)Muhammad Safdar till Monday.*

*They will be able to attend the funeral prayers and the Qul Khawani oflate Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.*

This was notified by the Punjab home department on Thursday night.

Earlier, Sharif, his daughter and son-in-law were released on parole fortwelve hours after his wife Begum Kulsoom breathed her last at a Londonhospital after around year-long battle against cancer.

The body of late Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was brought back to Pakistan fromLondon and shifted to Jati Umra where her funeral prayers are scheduled tobe held at 5:00 pm today.

The flight carrying Kulsoom Nawaz’s mortal remains landed at Allama IqbalInternational Airport, Lahore in wee hours on Friday. It was later shiftedto the Sharif Medical Complex, Jati Umra where her funeral will be heldtoday.
