ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday directed that acomprehensive plan for launching anti-encroachment drive and futureutilization of railways land for generating revenues should be formulatedand submitted within 15 days.
The prime minister gave this direction while chairing a briefing on theMinistry of Railways here at the PM Office.
Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Secretary/Chairman RailwaysMuhammad Javed Anwar and senior officers of the ministry and PakistanRailways were present during the meeting.
Secretary Railways briefed the prime minister in detail about PakistanRailways and various measures being taken for turnaround of theorganization into a sustainable and profitable venture.

He also apprised the prime minister about the issue of thousands of acresof encroached land of Pakistan Railways worth billions of rupees.
