*ISLAMABAD: The fund set up to collect donations for construction ofDiamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams has reached Rs 2.9 billion, showing a sharprise in amount after Rs 1.05 billion donated by the PakistanArmy yesterday.*
Until Sep 7, the country wise data showed that within Pakistan an amount ofRs 1,972,643,520 (Rs1.97 billion) was collected through bank branches,interbank transfers and mobile phone SMS service.
Now it has reached Rs 2,916,671,152 (Rs 2.9 billion).

Out of total donation received from within the country, amount collectedthrough debit/credit cards stands at Rs 94.4 million, Rs 60.6 million werecollected through SMS service, Rs 42.64 million from Interbank transferservice whereas an amount of Rs 1.95 billion was collected at bank branches.*Read also:* CEO ARY Digital Network Salman Iqbal announces to donate $100,000 to PM-CJ dam fundlink
The Fund has been established by the SBP on the directions of the SupremeCourt. All the commercial and micro-finance banks, and field offices of SBPBanking Services Corporation have opened the Fund account to receivedonations in cash, and through cheques, pay orders and demand drafts at alltheir branches across the country.

The donors can also make online donations to the Fund through internetbanking, automatic teller machines (ATM) and other alternate deliverychannels (ADC) using IBAN of their respective bank. The banks have sent theIBANs of the Fund account to their clients through SMS alerts, while thebank-wise list of IBANs is also available at the SBP’s web page.

Citizens can also donate Rs10 to the CJP’s dam fund by typing “dam” andsending the SMS to 8000 which will deduct the amount from the phone’scredit.
The donations can also be made through credit / debit cards from anywherein the world by clicking the “Online collections for Supreme Court DiamerBhasha & Mohamand Dams Fund” on the SBP’s web page.
