Sarfraz Ahmed breaks silence over crucial match against India in Asia Cup

LAHORE – Sarfraz Ahmed on Monday has broken silence over crucial matchagainst India in the Asia Cup.

He said that the Asia Cup match against India will be totally differentfrom the Champions Trophy.

“We are fully prepared for Asia Cup, as far as the match against India isconcerned, it will be quite different from the Champions Trophy ones, butwe are ready for it and will give our best,” said Sarfraz.

The Champions trophy winning captain vowed that the team will perform wellthroughout the tournament. He said “We are not relying on any one categorybut looking to perform well in all three fielding, batting and bowling,”

Sarfraz also emphasized that the spinners will play a vital role in thetournament.

About his *[Sarfraz]* own performance, the skipper said, “I’m working hardto improve my batting, whenever I got the chance I have performed,” headded.

Sarfraz attained career-best 18.2 points in the fitness test ahead of theAsia Cup 2018.

Replying to a question, the Pakistan captain told the media that over-allteam morale is high and hoping to give stiff competition to the arch-rivalsIndia.The 31-year-old wicket-keeper batsman also talked about the 2019World Cup, he said that the quest of World Cup has already begun, as theboys in green gear up for the Asia Cup.

He further added, “If we bat first then we will aim to make over 300 runs,”
