Former Indian Cricketer and Minister for Local Government and Tourism in Indian state of Punjab, Navjot Singh Sidhu has welcomed Pakistan’s hint to open Kartarpur border with India for the visit of Sikh Yatrees on the occasion of upcoming birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji.
In a media interview, he said thousands of Sikh Yatrees will visit Pakistan to attend the birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Devji.
Sidhu urged the Central Indian government to reciprocate Pakistan’s move with a positive response for the sake of peace and prosperity in South Asia
Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry in an interview with BBC had hinted that Pakistan plans to open the Kartarpur border crossing to allow the Sikh Yatrees to attend their Guru’s birth anniversary.
