NAB approves new inquiries against 14 officials

ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) approved newinquiries against 14 people.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Executive Board chaired byNAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Thursday.

The inquiries will be initiated against Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak,Agha Siraj Durrani, Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar, Iqbal Z Ahmed and ImtiazMalah.

Meanwhile, the NAB also approved to file new references against threepeople, including Sultan Hanjra and Ch Mukhtar.

Addressing the meeting, NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said thatit is top priority of the government to deal with the mega corruptioncases. “The NAB is strictly following the policy of ‘Accountability forAll’,” he maintained.
