Sharif family may land back in Adiala Jail soon: Report

ISLAMABAD – Sharif family may land back in Adiala jail if Supreme Courtturns down Islamabad High Court order over suspension of sentence to Shariffamily members.

NAB is seeking Supreme Court orders against IHC decision in its appeal tothe Apex Court.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will challenge Islamabad HighCourt (IHC) verdict of suspending sentences of ex-prime minister NawazSharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar inAvenfield reference, in the Supreme Court next week.

Sources said that the anti-graft watchdog has started preparations tochallenge the verdict in the apex court and an attested copy of IHC verdicthas been obtained.

The NAB officials have directed the prosecution to contest the case in afull-fledge manner.

Earlier, IHC had suspended sentences of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif, hisdaughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar in Avenfieldreference.

Justice Athar Minallah, while announcing the verdict, directed to releaseNawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain (r) Safdar over surety bonds worthRs0.5 million each until final decision on their pleas.
