COLOMBO – Three-day Pakistan-Sri Lanka Defence Dialogue is underway inColombo.
Pakistani side is being headed by Defence Secretary Retired Lt. Gen IkramulHaq, while Sri Lankan Secretary Defence Kapila Waidyaratne is leading histeam.
Expressing his views in the dialogue, Ikramul Haq said Pakistan and SriLanka share the unique honor of defeating terrorism.
He said the forum has enabled both the countries to identify new areas ofcollaboration and provided an opportunity to exchange views on strategicand security issues.
Defence ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka are based on mutual trust andcommonality of interest in maintaining regional peace, security andstability.
The dialogue will conclude tomorrow.
