ISLAMABAD – PM Imran Khan chaired a briefing on Ministry of Law andJustice, which was attended by Minister for Law and Justice Dr MuhammadFarogh Naseem, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Adviser to PM Shehzad Arbab,Attorney General of Pakistan Anwar Mansoor, Parliamentary Secretary MaleekaAli Bokhari, Secretary Law and senior officials.
Minister for Law Dr Muhammad Farogh Naseem made a detailed presentation oncivil litigation reforms identifying various procedural and legal lacunasin the existing system which caused inordinate delay in provision ofjustice to the people.
He also identified various steps including the need for establishment of anevidence commission, streamlining the alternate dispute resolution andarbitration system through legal framework.

He also mentioned amendments in various laws; such as Anti-Terrorism Act,NAB law, Pre-emption laws, Rent laws and others to ensure that the laws andlegal procedures are not misused to obstruct justice and serve tofacilitate the common citizens.
