KARACHI:Antiterrorism court (ATC), hearing provocative speech and media houseattack cases against MuttahidaQaumiMovement leaders has declared Federal Minister forInformation andTechnology KhalidMaqbool Siddiqui, a proclaimedoffenders.
Siddiqui is also the convener of theMuttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-Pakistan).
During Saturday’s proceedings, thecourt noted that despite hisefforts, theinvestigation officer (IO) had failed toarrest the threeabsconders.

In its order, the ATC said it was not possible to frame charges as some ofthe accused were in hiding. It preferred to declare them to proclaimedoffenders so that the charges could be framed against the remainingdefendants who were either in detention or on bail.
