KABUL: In Afghanistan, twenty militants, including some key Taliban members were killed and ten others wounded during a fighting with government forces in Faryab province.
The spokesman of army Corps, Hanif Rezai said warplanes pounded a militants’ base on border between Qaisar and Ghormach districts where a group of Taliban members had planned to launch an attack on government forces’ positions.
Meanwhile, two Afghan National Police personnel were killed and three police officers were wounded in a shooting incident in Kandahar province today.
