NEPRA increases price of electricity under monthly adjustment formula

ISLAMABAD – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) hasagain raised the prices of the electricity for the month of August.

NEPRA on Wednesday approved Rs.1.16 per unit in power tariff under monthlyfuel adjustment formula.

The Central Power Purchase Agency Guarantee Limited (CPPA-G) had sought Rs1.50 increase in electricity prices under fuel adjustment for August butthe NEPRA approved Rs1.16 hike.

The new prince will be applicable to all power distribution companiesexcept for K-Electric.
