NEW YORK – Foreign minister of Pakistan Shah Mehmood Qureshi met DonaldTrump, president of the United States of America, on the sidelines of UNGeneral Assembly’s 73rd session last night.
Qureshi said he discussed regional security with the US president,stressing improved bilateral relations between two long-time allies.
Trump extended his good wishes for Prime Minister Imran Khan, according tothe FM.
Qureshi will meet US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on October 2 in NewYork.
On Sunday, the foreign minister landed in the US on a 10-day official visitthat includes talks with the Trump administration and the new Pakistanigovernment’s first interaction with the United Nations.
Meanwhile, Qureshi met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and TurkishPresident Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in New York.
