LAHORE – Punjab govt has decided to make historic legislation in theprovibce.
A legislation aimed at ensuring minimum wage at weekly off for domesticworkers.
As per details garnered, the provincial lawmakers will rights of domesticworkers under domain of labour law and violation of which will bepunishable offence.
Punjab govt expressed exasperation over working conditions and daily abuseof domestic workers.The Buzdar-led govt has decided to amend existing laws dealing with rightsof workers and introduce measures to ensure one weekly-off and othermatters related to their salaries.
