LAHORE – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday has admitted the plea seekingPML-N leader Khawaja Asif s disqualification and issued notices to ElectionCommission of Pakistan (ECP) and respondent.
Justice Mamoon Rashid heard the case pertaining to plea seekingdisqualification of Khawaja Asif who had won NA-73 seat in GeneralElections 2018.
Earlier, on September 22, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate fromsame constituency Usman Dar had challenged Khawaja Asif’s electoral victory.
Dar had contended in his petition that Asif submitted an unverifiedaffidavit along with his nomination papers hiding his assets’ details.
