PM Imran Khan faces yet another trouble

*ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan faces yet another trouble as a casehas been filed against him in Lahore High Court.*

*His victory from a National Assembly seat in Mianwali, NA-95, has beenchallenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC). *

Pakistan Justice and Democratic Party’s Abdul Wahab Baloch filed a petitionbefore the election tribunal of the high court, requesting it to declarethe PM’s win from the NA seat void.

The petitioner alleged that Mr Khan concealed essential details, especiallyabout his children, in his nomination papers.

He submitted that an assembly aspirant is required to submit a statement ofhis own assets and liabilities and those of his wife and dependentchildren. However, the PTI chief failed to disclose details of theproperties his wife and sons owned.

Therefore, the petitioner argued, the premier stands disqualified underArticle 62 (1)(d), (e) and (f) and Article 63(1) (o) & (p) of theConstitution.

He pleaded with the tribunal to declare the prime minister’s win from NA-95void and direct the Election Commission of Pakistan to de-notify him asmember of the National Assembly.
