LAHORE – Punjab government has decided to begin scrutiny of Pakistani andforeign Madrassah students.
The provincial government will launch examination of Madrassa students fromthe scratch across Punjab, according to which the students and theirfamilies will be made to sign an affidavit that they have not had, and willnot have, any sort of connections with banned/extremist outfits,reported *ExpressNews*.
Students who will not sign the affidavit and fulfill the required terms andconditions will not be allowed in Madrassas.
Moreover, the provincial government has also tightened its grip on foreignstudents seeking education in Madrassas across the province. Students whofail to provide relevant documents or whose visa duration has ended will bemade to leave the country.
An intelligence report submitted before the Punjab government revealed that375 non-resident students, whose visa limit has ended, are still seekingeducation in the country.
