LAHORE – The 975th ceremony to perform the ‘ghusal’ of the shrine of HazratAli Bin Usman Al-Hajveri, popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh, was held onThursday.
The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Qari SyedSadaqat Ali recited verses from the Holy Quran.
Renowned ‘na’atkhawan’ Marghoob Ahmed Hamdani recited a ‘na’at andenthralled the participants.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Punjab Minister for Industries,Commerce and Investment Mian Aslam Iqbal, Punjab Minister for ReligiousAffairs Syed Saeedul Hassan Shah, MPA Nazir Chohan and DG Religious AffairsDr Tahir Raza Bukhari performed the ghusal with rose water. They offeredFateha after laying a floral ‘chadar’.
