RAHIM YAR KHAN – A sweeper of a private sanitation company has beenarrested for allegedly attempting to rape a woman medical officer atthe Shaikh Zayed Medical College and Hospital (SZMC&H).

The victim lady doctor was alone in a room of the emergency ward when thesuspect tried to overpower her with bad intentions but he was held by thesecurity guards when the medical officer cried for help. Later, the accusedwas handed over to police for further investigation.

As the incident occurred, members of Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) leftthe working and gathered outside the principal office, raising slogansagainst the hospital administration.

However, the doctors called off the protest after Principal Prof Dr MubarakAli Chaudhry assured him to resolve the issues.
