SRINAGAR – In Occupied Kashmir, the authorities have imposed restrictionsin Srinagar on Friday to prevent people from staging demonstrations againstthe surge in killings by Indian troops.
According to Kashmir Media Service, restrictions are imposed in Nowhatta,Khanyar, Rainawari, M.R.Gunj, Safa Kadal and Maisuma areas of the city.Heavy deployments of Indian Central Reserve Police Force and policepersonnel have been deployed.
Authorities have also closed schools and colleges to prevent studentprotests. Classes at the Kashmir University have also been suspended forthe day.
The Joint Resistance leaders have urged the religious scholars to highlightthe excesses committed by the Indian forces during their sermons.
