ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has raised concerns over the US India nuclear deal.
Minister for Human Rights, Dr Shireen Mazari says US-India nuclear dealswill disturb peace and stability in South Asia.
She was addressing the concluding session of two-day internationalconference titled “The Global Non-Proliferation Regime: Challenges andResponses” in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The Minister said the United States has a special responsibility to upholdinternational laws and norms.
She said Pakistan has been treated with discrimination regarding membershipof Nuclear Suppliers Group as membership should be given on merit basis.
Highlighting ceasefire violations on the Line of Control, the Minister saidIndian occupation forces have been targeting innocent people in occupiedKashmir and across the Line of Control. She urged the internationalcommunity to look into the matter.
