ISLAMABAD – New developments have been reported in the Supreme Court ofPakistan over the issue of missing persons.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday sought details of persons who wentmissing since 2011 from the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disapperances.
A two-member bench under the chair of Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik heard themissing persons case. The commission submitted its monthly report accordingto which 3,500 cases out of the registered 5,430 have been cleared.
The report says that at least 1,868 cases pertaining to missing personsremain pending, whereas 74 new cases were registed in September this year.
