ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan breaks silence over one of thelargest by elections held in Pakistan on October 14.
He stated that federal and provincial governments provided level-playingfield to all parties in the recently concluded by-elections.
He made these remarks after presiding over a consultative huddle here inBani Gala today.
Khan went on to say that govt did not meddle in by-elections at any level.
PM also received briefing on below par performance of PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in by-polls. The minister told PM that inner riftswere the biggest reason behind defeat in some constituencies. Furthermore,ministers did not take part in the election campaign.
Lack of uplift projects ahead of by-polls were also cited as one of keyreason behind poor show.
