KANDAHAR (AIP) – Clash erupted between the Afghan and Pakistani forces onthe installation of barbed wire near the Durand Line in Spin Boldakdistrict on Sunday (October 14).
The gunfight erupted when Pakistani armed forces wanted to install barbedwire in Saro Sahano area in the limits of Spin Boldak district. The Afghanforces did not allow the Pakistani troops to carry out the work. ThePakistani forces opened fire on the Afghan troops.
Both the sides used small and heavy weapons against each other, Kandaharpolice spokesman Zia Durrani told Afghan Islamic Press (AIP).
The Afghan forces would not allow the Pakistani troops to install barbedwire on the border, he added.

After the clash, he said the Pakistani forces closed the border crossingbetween Pakistan and Afghanistan in Chaman.
