ISLAMABAD – According to the Result Transmission System of the ElectionCommission of Pakistan, of the eleven National Assembly’s seats, PTI andPML-N are so far leading in four constituencies each. Pakistan MuslimLeague-Quaid-e-Azam is ahead in two constituencies of the National Assembly.
In Punjab, PML-N is leading in five provincial assembly constituencies andPTI in four. An independent candidate is also leading on one seat.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PTI is leading in seven constituencies, while AwamiNational Party is ahead in two constituencies.
PPP is leading in both constituencies of Sindh Assembly. Of the two seatsof Balochistan, Balochistan National Party and an Independent candidate areleading on one seat each.
Earlier, polling process, which started at 8:00 am in the morning concludedat 5:00 pm. However, the voters inside the polling stations were allowed touse their right to vote.
Polling was held in a peaceful environment across the country. Strictsecurity measures were put in place and a large number of troops, rangersand police were deployed at polling stations and important places in areaswhere by-election was held.
