Saudi Arabia threatens to hit back hard against sanctions

RIYADH – Saudi Arabia says it will retaliate to possible economic sanctionstaken by other states due to the campaign of false allegations.

The Saudi Press Agency reported quoting an official source that if thekingdom receives any action, it will respond with greater action, and thatthe Kingdom’s economy has an influential and vital role in the globaleconomy.

An official source stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as a platformof revelation and the Qiblah of Muslims, has played a prominent rolethroughout history in achieving security, stability and prosperity of theregion and the world. It also led the efforts in combating extremism andterrorism.

Saudi Arabia has been under pressure since senior journalist JamalKhashoggi disappeared on second of this month after visiting the Saudiconsulate in Istanbul.
