LAHORE – At least 12,000 hacking attacks have been reported on the Internetvoting system deployed for the by elections overseas voting.
As per the media report, the National Database and Registration Authority(NADRA) has foiled 12,000 hacking attacks on the internet voting websitethat was made to facilitate the overseas Pakistanis to exercise theirvoting right.
According to details, hackers attempted almost 1200 times to harm thewebsite however, NADRA successfully counter the attack and kept the websiteoperational.
More than 5,000 overseas Pakistani voters have cast their vote throughInternet voting system.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has granted permission to allregistered overseas Pakistanis voters to have the right of casting vote inbye-election through I-voting system.
According to an official of ECP, I-voting pass system has been generatedfor registered overseas Pakistanis.
