*ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is likely to add another 12 million standard cubicfeet per day of gas to its inventory, media report has revealed.*
The Mardankhel-2 well will increase domestic gas output by 12 millionstandard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD), besides adding 1,400 barrel ofcondensates to the national energy grid, the Hungarian oil and gasexploration company MOL said in a statement here on Thursday, Tribune hasreported.
According to the statement, MOL Group’s Executive Vice-President (Upstream)Dr Berislav Gaso concluded his visit to Pakistan during which he discussedwith government officials business prospects in Pakistan’s energy sectorand ways and means for promoting public-private partnership.
During his stay in Pakistan, the press release stated, Dr Berislav Gasoheld meetings with Minister for Energy (Petroleum Division) Ghulam SarwarKhan and Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi.
Dr. Gaso apprised government officials about the recent commissioning ofthe Mardankhel-2 well.
MOL’s eandeavours, the press release stated, were appreciated by theMinister of Energy.
Terming Pakistan an important asset for the MOL Group, the press releasequoted Dr Gaso as saying that the company was looking forward to furtherexpanding its business in the country.
