KARACHI – The value of US dollar on Friday was recorded Rs 133.50 after afall of Rs1.50 in interbank market.
After this fall the dollar was traded between Rs132.50 and Rs 133.50.
On the other hand, the stock market endured a volatile week as investorswere under pressure due to a sharp increase in dollar’s value and theypreferred to sell shares.
Karachi Stock market (KSE) 100 index in first trading session lost 846points and 100 index was closed at 37,552 points.
Rupee in the open market remained under pressure during the early hours oftrade and showed a rise of Rs1 from Wednesday close of Rs135. At thebanking counter it moved in a narrow band and finally closed at 133.80rupee to a dollar, registering an increase of four paisa.
