*ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court has asked NAB to probe the Thar CoalProject.*
*SC has ordered on Thursday that a survey should be done of the Thar coalpower projects.*
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar ordered NAB toinvestigate and see where all the money went. The chief justice had earliertaken suo motu notice of the case.
“A feasibility report was prepared for the project — it wasn’t done in theair,” said nuclear scientist and Underground Coal Gasification projectChairperson Dr Samar Mubarakmand.
NAB has been directed to conduct a survey and then submit a report to thecourt.

The court wants to know how many irregularities took place and how theproject incurred losses billions of rupees.
It ordered that Dr Mubarakmand has to be present at every hearing. It alsowants the workers of the power projects to present.
