Pakistan rejects Indian Cricket Board stance in the ICC

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Cricket Board today (Wednesday) submitted awritten reply to the International Cricket Council over the botched cricketagreement on bilateral series between Pakistan and India.

The ICC’s dispute panel had given a week’s time to the PCB and The Board ofControl for Cricket to submit their replies.

According to media reports, the PCB in its reply stated that they hadsuffered financial loss due to India not honouring the agreement betweenthe two cricketing boards.

The written reply states that there was no clause regarding takingpermission from the government in the agreement.

On the other hand Indian Board insists that clause of permission fromIndian government is included in the MoU.

The PCB is demanding 70 million dollars in compensation from India, sayingthat a memorandum of understanding signed in 2014 had guaranteed sixbilateral series between 2015 and 2023.
